The Organic Farm Stay in Tuscany: LaSelva
LaSelva is an organic farm stay in Tuscany, more precisely in Maremma, just a stone’s throw from the sea. It is located within our organic farm, which has been active since 1980 in the cultivation and processing of fruit, vegetables, and cereals.
The first room of our agriturismo was rented out in 1995, but the history of our farm began in 1978 when Karl Egger left his homeland, Munich (Germany), and purchased 7 hectares of land in the Tuscan Maremma, where he found an old farmhouse called “La Selva.”
Since 1982, the fields surrounding the farmhouse have been cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, and two years later, LaSelva became the first farm outside Germany to be certified by Naturland.
Today, over 800 hectares of land surround the organic agriturismo. The property includes a processing facility where high-quality vegetables are turned into organic products, a farm shop, and the LaSelva Winery, which produces organic wines.
Every day we work guided by strong ethical principles that focus on protecting the land, seeking partners who share our values and guidelines, enhancing the value of our team members, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
